Personal Liability

Accidents happen, and while your standard homeowners, rental and auto insurance policies provide some liability coverage, they sometimes cannot fully protect you, your family and your possessions in unfortunate circumstances. When you need another level of protection, Brumbaugh Insurance can set you up with that "little extra" in the form of a personal liability policy.

Did your son or daughter ever accidentally hit a baseball through a neighbor's window? Did anyone ever slip, fall and suffer an injury on your sidewalk? The list of these situations goes on and on, but a personal liability policy or umbrella coverage can help reduce your risk of expensive lawsuits and unexpected bills.

Personal Liability

Personal Liability provides coverage for damages to a third party due to bodily injury or property damage caused by an insured. Liability coverage pays for both the covered damage or injury and the cost of defending an insured against a claim or suit arising from the damage or injury, even if the suit is groundless, false or fraudulent. Medical expenses to others are paid if the injury occurs on the homeowner's premises and the injured party has permission to be on the premises. Liability coverage does not apply to damage or injury that is intentional or is not accidental.

Umbrella Coverage

Umbrella Coverage provides coverage beyond your homeowner or auto policy by adding an extra layer of liability coverage. Coverage is provided in amounts of $1,0000,000 increments. Umbrella insurance also covers situations that may not be covered by other another policy, such as slander or libel.
